Overview

Johnstone's Trade Aqua Guard Undercoat Primer is a water-based undercoat crafted for interior wood and metal surfaces. Featuring all the benefits of a traditional undercoat, but is quick drying to reduce application times. Designed for use under the , or for the best results. While also being suitable for use with other water-based paints.

Clean Up Remove as much product as possible from the equipment before cleaning following manufacturer's recommendations

Preparation

Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from dirt and grease.

    Ensure good ventilation during application and drying. Stir well before use. Easy to apply by brush, roller, and spray. Avoid overspreading. Do not apply in temperatures below 8°C or externally when rain is imminent. For best results use a synthetic brush.

    Note: Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding. Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead.
