  • Degrease the surface with a lint free cloth and suitable solvent, allow to evaporate fully before applying Sikkens.
  • For previously stained or weathered wood use a fine sandpaper of 120 or 240 grit to abrade the surface working in the direction of the grain.
  • Dust down entire surface.
  • Fill any cracks, holes or chips, always use a filler designed for timber.
  • Please always follow instructions of manufacturer when staining new wood as some substrates will require leaching time.

Before applying stir the product thoroughly and test a small area to ensure colour and adhesion. Colours can vary dependant on surface to be treated. This product can not be sprayed.

  • Do not apply when there is the risk of rain or when temperatures are below 5°C or above 30°C.
  • Protect from frost and rain until dry.

  • Excess surface liquid should re-distributed after 5-20 minutes using a dry brush.
  • Allow a minimum of 18-24 hours drying time.
  • To apply a 3 coat system, lightly sand between each coat with a 240 grit or lighter sandpaper, do not break the surface coating.
